Overview:
The quality of your product data is central to the success of your listings on Westfield online. It is important that you are familiar with the requirements of every marketplace which you list your products on as these may be different. Please review the information below to understand the product data requirements of our marketplace.
Mandatory Attributes
At a minimum Category, Shop SKU, Product Name, Image 1, and Long Description are required for every product on Westfield online. If a product is missing one of these attributes, it will be classified as ‘invalid’ in Mirakl and will not be published on Westfield online.
Category Specific Requirements
Some categories have unique enrichment requirements. Please review the information below to understand the product data requirements of each category as this will affect the performance of your products on Westfield online.

- Variant Group Code (VGC)– required to group different variants of the same product together e.g. different colours and sizes. If a t-shirt comes in 5 sizes, all 5 sizes must have the same VGC. This ensures they will appear on the same product page, as different size options.
- Size – All clothing items should have size options. If a product comes in ‘one size fits all’, this needs to be specified as the size attribute.
- Colour – All clothing items should have a colour attribute. If there is only one colour, this can be provided as an attribute or in the product title/description.
- Gender – Male/Female/Gender Neutral. If Children’s, the gender must be Boy/Girl/Kids Gender Neutral.
**Important: The gender attribute is what will list an item under the ‘Men’s’, ‘Women’s’ or ‘Kids’ sections of the Westfield online site. If no gender attribute is assigned, a product will be orphaned and not listed in the relevant category. It can only be found if searched for specifically or browsing a particular Seller’s product listing.
- EAN/GTIN - Having a GTIN/EAN improves the SEO performance of a product. It also is how we link information from different data sources on our site.
Recommended Attributes
Whilst the absence of these attributes will not prevent your products being listed on Westfield online, it is highly recommended that you enrich your source data and include these attributes as their absence will affect will the performance of your products on Westfield online.

In addition to the universal mandatory attributes. The following is required for this category.
- Variant Group Code (VGC) – required to group different variants of the same product together e.g. different colours and sizes. If a bracelet comes in 5 sizes, all 5 sizes must have the same VGC. This ensures they will appear on the same product page, as different size options.
- Size – Some items should have size options, e.g. rings. Ensure there are size variants for these products.
- Colour – For products that come in different colours, a colour attribute should always be provided. If there is a single colour option, this should be provided as an attribute or in the product’s description/title.
- Gender – Male/Female/Gender Neutral. If Children’s, the gender must be Boy/Girl/Kids Gender Neutral.

There are no specific product attributes that are unique to toys and games, however when reviewing products, use your discretion to ensure the best experience for the customer.

In addition to the universal mandatory attributes. The following is required for this category.
- Variant Group Code (VGC) – required to group different variants of the same product together, e.g. different colours and sizes. If a lotion comes in 3 sizes, all 3 sizes must have the same VGC. This ensures they will appear on the same product page, as different size options.
- Ingredients – Ingredients MUST be provided for all products that come into contact with the human skin. This includes cosmetics, skincare and haircare. A retailer must provide a list of ingredients, either in the ‘Ingredients’ attribute, or listed in the product description. Ingredients can also be provided as a product image (i.e. of the back of the bottle) however they must be clearly legible. If a Seller has not provided an ingredients list then the products will not be approved for sale on Westfield online. Note: ingredients must be provided in plain text, HTML markup is not supported.

Required Attributes
In addition to the universal mandatory attributes. The following is required for this category.
- Dangerous and Prohibited Goods - Products which are considered Dangerous or Prohibited Goods by Australia Post need include this Boolean Yes/No attribute. Consumer electronics are subject to mandatory safety standards as they often contain batteries. You must confirm that all products meet the requirements, and that any Safety Standards forms and MSDS are provided to Westfield online before products will be approved for sale.

- Variant Group Code (VGC) – required to group different variants of the same product together, e.g. different colours and sizes. If a kennel comes in 3 sizes, all 3 sizes must have the same VGC. This ensures they will appear on the same product page, as different size options.

There are no specific product attributes that are unique to Books, Music and Film, however when reviewing products, use your discretion to ensure the best experience for the customer.

- Genre – A genre attribute is strongly recommended. The genre may also be specified in the product categorisation. When shopping for books, music or film, customers will often search and browse by their preferred genre.
- Consumer Advice – While optional, this attribute is recommended to ensure product classifications and ratings are clear, especially for products that are not suitable for all ages. Values for this attribute include General (G), Mature (M) and so on. You may wish to use your discretion on whether you think this is required for a certain product. If it appears to be a product only suitable for adults, ensure the classification is provided in either the ‘Consumer Advice’ attribute field, or alternatively in the product description or clearly shown on the first product image.
