Overview
Category Mapping is an important process in the Integration Management Portal, where you map your source category to a corresponding destination category. You only need to do this once, provided that your source category does not change. Any new source categories will need to be mapped every time they are added. Please note that each source system has its own default field for category.
In Shopify this field is product_type:
For example, through mapping you could assign Shopify product_type "Clothing" to Westfield online Category "Clothing and Accessories > Tops > Shirts".
Rundown
After the Source Service (e.g. Shopify) sync has been toggled on, navigate to the Products section > Mappings.
Click on the “Category” label to access the Category mapping page. This shows the category of the product from the Source on the left. On the right you can set a Westfield online Destination category to map the Source category to.
On Page Navigation
'Select Category Mapping' Text Field
Typing into the Select Category Mapping text field will activate a dropdown of suggested categories you can choose from:
Copying Destination Category to Another Source
The Copy icon allows you to copy a selected destination category value and
Paste it for other source category values. This will be use full if you have multiple source categories which relate to one destination category.
Using the Category Tree Selector
Alternatively, selecting the Category Tree Selector icon will present you with this screen, from which you can explore and select the most appropriate category for the source.
Fetching Category Suggestions
Selecting Fetch Suggestions from the 3-dot menu will retrieve suggested Destination Category mappings for every unmapped Source Category.
Once the page is refreshed, you will then see suggested categories underneath Select Category Mapping. Clicking the destination category suggestion will apply it to the corresponding Source.
Note: You are not required to apply the suggested destination, and are free to proceed with one of the other category mapping methods instead if a suitable category is not suggested.
Exclusions at a Category Level
Exclusions at a Category level are managed via Cresco Category Mapping
Exclusions on the category level can be applied via the Cresco Portal within Syncs > Product > Mapping. Select "EXCLUDE FROM SYNC"
This will exclude all the products in that category from being sent to Mirakl
